We are a newish group, formed after the Open Morning in October 2019. Our meetings are held in a member's home near Pulteney Bridge with the average attendance of 8. We would welcome a couple of new members interested in exploring American literature. We have been alternating between what might be considered an American classic and more contemporary literature.
The first book we read was 'My Ántonia' by Willa Cather followed by 'Huckleberry Finn', 'The Great Gatsby' and 'Age of Innocence' by Edith Wharton.
Forthcoming books are 'The Call of the Wild' and 'Catcher in the Rye'.
