FACT AND FICTION
2.00pm (meetings last for an hour and a half)- Last Thursday of the month
Venue in a member's home

We are a group of U3A-ers who enjoy reading both fact and fiction books.

Members take it in turns to choose the books to be read novels (classical or modern) alternating with a non-fiction book (e.g. biography, autobiography or travel). Meetings begin with a relaxed time of conversation, after which the member who chose the book for the month gives a full introduction to it and its author. This is followed by a lively and wide ranging discussion in which everyone takes part.

The formal part of the afternoon ends with readings of poems brought along by members. Over tea we discuss book choices to be made for the months ahead.
