ZEPPELIN: SHIP OF DREAMS

SPEAKER: David Skillen

Count Zeppelin always saw his airships as a means of transport as well as a weapon. In this talk David Skillen will look at the heyday of travel in these huge craft. We will see how the Graf Zeppelin and the Hindenburg provided luxurious travel across the Atlantic. Learn how Great Britain tried, and failed, to match them and how the United States built two flying aircraft carriers. It is a talk that shows travel in a bygone age.
